She/Her

My journey towards psychotherapy was not always straightforward. Though my path may have seemed uncertain at times, I now understand that my “mistakes” were not mistakes at all. Every step was necessary for my healing, self-acceptance, and empowerment. My goal is to support you with empathy and compassion along your own journey toward healing. Life’s challenges—such as anxiety, stress, or past experiences—can feel overwhelming, but I believe you already possess the spark to heal and grow. Together, we can nurture that spark and help it grow into a powerful force to achieve your goals and find true healing.

I feel especially passionate about helping teens and adults feel empowered and heal from narcissistic abuse, trauma, attachment issues, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or not feeling good enough and maternal mental health. As we are all wonderfully unique, I do not believe that one size fits all when it comes to therapy, instead, I pull tools from all my training to create an approach unique to you.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) Certified Hypnotherapist and a Mongan Method Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator. I utilize a person-centred approach, integrating tools from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), integrative trauma and attachment model (ITATM), emotional freedom technique (EFT), internal family systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), various hypnotherapy techniques, HypnoBirthing®, and NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP)

As a first-generation Canadian from the Niagara area, I understand the unique challenges the South Asian community faces, particularly in balancing family expectations and cultural values with societal pressures. Growing up, talking to others who shared similar experiences helped me feel less alone and more understood. At Shanti Psychotherapy, I aim to provide an empathetic, compassionate approach that respects you, and your lived experience and meets you where you are, working together toward your healing in a way that aligns with your life.

Here’s your gentle reminder:
✨ Take breaks.
🥗 Nourish your body.

Pride began as protest. As we celebrate, we remember the Black and Brown queer and trans communities who led the way.At Shanti Psychotherapy, solidarity means unlearning, growing, and showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Because if liberation doesn’t include queer and trans people, it’s not liberation. This Pride Month, and always, we honour the legacy, resilience, and joy of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. 🌈💖#PrideMonth #2SLGBTQIA #QueerJoy #TransRightsAreHumanRights #TherapistsForJustice #ShantiPsychotherapy #MentalHealthMatters #PrideIsPolitical

Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it’s totally okay to feel a little nervous or unsure. The first session is really about getting to know each other and making sure you feel safe, seen, and supported. We’ll talk about things like consent and confidentiality, what’s been bringing you to therapy, and what you’ve been struggling with lately. I’ll share how I work and we’ll explore how we can tailor the process to meet your needs. We might set a few gentle goals, and you’re always welcome to ask any questions that come up.Think of it as laying the foundation for a space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered, at your pace, and on your terms.#TherapyJourney #FirstSessionSupport #MentalHealthMatters #CompassionateCare #HealingStartsHere #TorontoPsychotherapy #GroupTherapy #SouthAsianTherapist
