Do you feel heard? Have you ever struggled with being seen? Are you validated as your authentic self? If you have ever struggled with ANY of these experiences, you have come to the right place. We are all in relationships, whether we know it or not.
As a Black male, second-generation immigrant, I’m aware of how culture, heritage, and family shape our stories. Having studied and worked in spaces where I was often part of a racial minority, I know the difficulty of navigating environments where my lived experience and perspective differed from those around me, both at work and in school. With over a decade of experience as a former law enforcement officer, I bring a particular dedication to supporting First Responders and Veterans through Trauma, PTSD, and the toll of balancing professional and personal demands, grounded in a mental health journey focused on self-care and resilience.
I work with teens (14+), adults, couples, and families. My curiosity about relationships and how they shape us helps me support youth and adults who feel singled out or stereotyped as they process those experiences and build practical ways to advocate for themselves without hiding or minimizing their identity. Love, joy, grief, loss, Trauma, Anger, and Conflict all happen in the context of relationships, whether that’s Family Conflict, Peer Relationships, Marital and Premarital Concerns, Parenting, or Divorce. I work with clients on Relationship Issues, Racial Identity, and Cultural and Faith-Based Concerns, as well as those affected by Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, and Emotional Disturbance. I also bring particular attention to Anxiety, Depression, Men’s Mental Health, and Life Transitions.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I mainly draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy, using a strength-based approach to help individuals, couples, and families.
