Birthing Unafraid – HypnoBirthing®

$450 includes a spot for Birthing Partner

This group is facilitated by Rashmi Kumar, RP (Qualifying), Mongan Method Certified HypnoBirthingⓇ Childbirth Educator.

Our Birthing Unafraid group brings expectant people and their birth companions together to support each other as you learn about and practice HypnoBirthing® techniques. We prepare for your childbirth by focusing on relaxation, breathing and self-hypnosis techniques to reduce fear and anxiety to create a calm and relaxing environment and have the birth experience you want.

Our goal is for you to have a satisfying, relaxing birth and call upon your body’s natural relaxant to lessen or eliminate discomfort and the need for medical intervention. You will learn to release fears and trust your body’s and baby’s natural ability to birth, allowing nature to function in its well-designed manner.

🧠 What is Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)?

DBR is a cutting-edge, neuroscience-informed trauma therapy that helps people process unresolved trauma by working with the brainstem, the part of the brain responsible for our most instinctive survival responses.Unlike traditional therapy, DBR doesn’t start with the story of what happened. Instead, it gently tracks the sequence of internal reactions that occurred at the time of the trauma, beginning with the body’s orienting response to a perceived threat, followed by tension and emotional shock.By helping the nervous system complete these original protective responses in a safe and supported way, DBR allows for deep healing at the level where trauma is first held, often without the need to relive or retell painful memories in detail. If you’re feeling stuck in patterns of fear, hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, or reactivity, DBR might be a helpful path forward. Pride began as protest. As we celebrate, we remember the Black and Brown queer and trans communities who led the way.At Shanti Psychotherapy, solidarity means unlearning, growing, and showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Because if liberation doesn’t include queer and trans people, it’s not liberation. This Pride Month, and always, we honour the legacy, resilience, and joy of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. 🌈💖#PrideMonth #2SLGBTQIA #QueerJoy #TransRightsAreHumanRights #TherapistsForJustice #ShantiPsychotherapy #MentalHealthMatters #PrideIsPolitical
